Burnt Garlic – New Menu Launch

Burnt garlic is a family casual dining restaurant located in the ground floor of Priya Cinema, Deshopriyo Park.  I was invited to the launch of their New Menu launch sometime back along with my fellow foodie friends. Fun, innovative ,delicious and smartly priced the new menu is a head turner and refutes some previous not so flattering feedbacks. Be it the Posto Bata Gondhoraj Ghol , the Lamb Bolognese Pizza,  the Asian-style Coriander rice or the Blueberry Cheesecake , there is something everyone can be happy about.

My Experience :

A seamless blend of retro, grunge and quirk, the décor and ambience of the place is something that is sure to catch your eyes.  Spread over two levels the place boasts of a well stocked step down bar as well. Coming to their food, we started off with Broccoli Spinach Soup and Greek Feta salad. Though not a great fan of soups or salads, I quite liked the soup for its rich flavours and that generous dollop of cream! Among the entrees, the Crispy Fried Cottage Cheese was a winner for me for that perfect balance of crunch, softness and flavours. The Mushroom and Artichoke Crepe is another very innovative new starter that is a worth a try especially for that Thyme Cream sauce. A special shout out for the Juicy Lamb Burger and the thin crust Lamb Bolognese Pizza for generous toppings and the right amount of cheese J. In the mains I loved their Coriander Rice which is loaded with all those earthy, Asian flavours. The Porchini Chicken makes a great accompaniment with it. For desserts they have the  Blueberry Cheesecake  and the Molten Lava Cake. While  cheesecake is more than perfect with the right punch of creamy and tart, the lava cake is sure to stun you with all its ooziness.

The cocktails from the new menu is something for which I am going to go back. The Mango Coconut Daiquiri and The Curry Patta Coconut Vodkatini would be my picks.

Overall a great experience. Good food, good ambience, smart pricings and yes A-mA-z-I-N-g cocktails. What more do I need to go back! Go check out the new menu at Burnt Garlic with your family and friends. CHEERS!
