While traditionally ‘Parikrama’means circumambulation, of a sacred place, Pujo Parikrama, especially in Kolkata, translates to sheer madness! Thanks to the ever growing popularity of ‘Theme Pujos’, the Pujos are now almost a week long carnival (or may be even more), and we try our best to squeeze in as much as we can in this time !
You may hire a car, or a bus, you may take an auto, a hand-pulled rikshaw, or you may just rely on your feet – but ticking off Ekdalia and Bagbazar off the list remains a mandatory custom 🙂
