The favorite luxury property town – JW Marriott Kolkata-
brings to the city an eclectic food festival that celebrates the uniqueness, diversity and richness of flavors, straight from the land of Camels. Hosting a 9-day long food fiesta called ‘Taste of Rajasthan’, JW Kitchen will showcase the exquisite Rajasthani cuisine starting 18th May till 27th May 2018 over lunch and dinner.
A little bit about Rajasthani cuisine
Rajasthan, known as land of royalty, has left a solid imprint of its gastronomical influence on the food map. Extremities of climate and dearth of water and vegetation has led to the creation of a cuisine substantially different from the rest of the country. Food is prepared with the minimal use of water and preserved for longer periods without the need of being reheated for consumption. Appetizers and snacks have earned a lot of recognition outside the region with the food being a generous mix of distinctly vegetarian and some classic non vegetarian fares.

The menu of the festival has
been designed by Chef Bheik Singh, Chef, Jaipur Marriott Hotel, who has learnt the art from the Royal kitchens itself, and has been cooking Rajasthani specialties for the last 22 years!
Some of his signature specialties are ‘Traditional Laal Maas’,
‘Papad ki Subzi’, ‘Chakki ki Subzi’ and ‘Dal Baati Churma’.
