Located in the northeastern part of the India, in the eastern Himalayas, Sikkim is one of the smallest states in the country.
The state’s name is derived from the Limbu words su him, meaning “new house.”
The whole of Sikkim is divided into 4 zones – East, West, North and South. There are magnificent places to visit in each of these zones.

Our trip itinerary
Kolkata – New Jaipaiguri (by train)
New Jalpaiguri to Gangtok (by rented car)
Stay over in Gangtok for 3 days and 2 nights.
Day 1 Tsongmo lake
Day 2 Local sight seeing to Flower Garden and eating out
Day 3 Start for Lachen early morning
Duration of journey was about 7 to 8 hrs.

Day 1 Night stay and local exploration
Day 2 Lake Gurudongmar
Journey from Lachen to Gurudongmar starting at 4 am in the morning – reached Gurudongmar at around 10 am – from then headed off to Lachung ( another 8 to 9 hrs)

Stay over for 2days 1 night
Day 1 Reached at night amidst heavy rains
Day 2 Zero point and Yumthang Valley and back to Gangtok (some 12 hrs in total)
Important pointers while travelling to Sikkim
•Due to difficult terrains and unpredictable climate changes it is best to plan your trip well ahead with all the little details chalked out.
•Get the permits done in advance.
•Pack dry foods supplies and medicines.
•Renting shared vehicles makes the whole thing lot cheaper but you may have to adjust your plans and preferences. Thus we suggest renting personal vehicle for customised tours and exploring.
•Gorge on local food.
